friends
"One of the most beautiful qualities of a true friendship is to understand and to be understood."
My friends are a huge part of my life and I couldn't thank them enough. They are always there for me when I need them. I have many different types of friends, but I love them all equally. I like to be adventurous with them and experience different challenges with them. Even if things go wrong, we fight together and it makes our friendship stronger. Sometimes we may fight and not get along, but in the end it doesn't even matter. We forgive and forget and that's what makes them so important to me. No matter what, they are willing to give you a second chance. Some of them may not be there throughout my entire life, but for right now, I want to keep them for as long as I can. They are what gets me through the day.
Family
I recently live with my brother and his family. My mother passed away my freshman year summer and my dad is currently disabled and in the nursing home in West Jefferson, Ohio. Before everything happened, I wasn't very close to my brother because he is 15 years older than I am. He hasn't been living with us since i was about 5, so I don't remember much about living with him. We have grown closer to each other these past couple of years. He has always been there for me and is such a wonderful big brother. He always attends my special occasions and supports me with whatever I plan to do in my near future.
sports
"There may be people that have more talent than you, but there's no excuse for anyone to work harder than you do.”
Sports is very important to me and my family. The reason I moved to Piketon High School in the 7th grade was to play sports. Coming to a new school at a very young age was terrifying, but a wonderful experience for me. I used to go to Waverly High School, but things just didn't "click" with me there. Piketon makes me feel at home and welcome to the community. I have met new friends, that still, today, are my best friends. I have worked hard in each and every sport I've participated in. I enjoy playing softball the most because it's my passion. I have made the cover of the newspapers, honorable mention and have been awarded MVP. I look forward going to college and playing softball, while I'm studying to become an RN.
